Artificial Intelligence Literacy for Project Managers

Since the launch of ChatGPT the interest, enthusiasm, and concerns about artificial intelligence (AI) have grown dramatically.  This interest is also strongly felt among project managers and project team members. The interest is in two directions: One is in learning more about managing projects that implement AI and the other is in effectively using AI tools for managing projects.

In November 2023, we started offering workshops to a small community of project managers for both interest areas: managing AI projects and AI in project management. Due to growing interest, we now offer an Artificial Intelligence Literacy for Project Managers Workshop Series tailored to project management professionals focusing on the integration of AI into project workflows.

This workshop series is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to manage AI-driven projects and adapt to the evolving project management landscape.

We address how AI projects differ from other projects in important ways, the definition of project success, varying aspects of moral decision-making with algorithms, the engagement of stakeholders, as well as the responsibility for ethical decisions from AI systems and its impact.

We have combined our project management expertise with our “let’s deliver” philosophy in creating this workshop series. We also offer customized workshops to cover the needs and challenges of your organization.

Workshop Objectives:

  1. Understand the differences between AI and traditional non-AI projects.
  2. Explore ethical principles and their impact on project success.
  3. Develop stakeholder engagement strategies tailored to AI projects.
  4. Identify key success factors in managing AI-driven projects.
  5. Adapt to the changes AI brings to project management roles and tasks.
  6. Leverage generative AI to optimize and innovate project management practices.
